Sailors brave weather front at Sail Melbourne International

After two days of braving the Melbourne heat, the third day of Sail Melbourne International (Friday, 1 December 2017) posed a whole new range of challenges to sailors with temperatures dropping and the first part of the much talked about Victorian weather front moving in.

Sail Melbourne inspires Youth Sailors

Australia’s up and coming sailing talent will join the action at Sail Melbourne International from today, Friday, 1 December 2017 with the Invited Classes scheduled to race from Friday, 1 December through to Sunday, 3 December 2017. Racing kicked-off at Royal Brighton Yacht Squadron on Wednesday, 29 November with the Olympic class sailors contesting their penultimate day of racing today.

Day of Extremes at Sail Melbourne International Day Two

It was another day of extremes at Sail Melbourne International for the second day of Olympic class racing (Thursday, 30 November 2017). More high temperatures and a hot breeze blowing off the land did not allow the sailors any cool off out on Port Phillip. A full day of racing was completed in most classes though with gains and losses across the fleets.
