2015 - 2018 ISAF Sailing World Cup - Melbourne moves to ST KILDA.
The ISAF Sailing World Cup - Melbourne moves into an exciting new phase of its history with the announcement on the 23rd of April that the Event is moving to ST KILDA. This move has been a long time in the planning, as we take the huge step from the familiar surrounds of Sandringham Yacht Club to what will be known as the St Kilda Sailing Precinct.
St Kilda is an iconic location in Victoria, with thousands of tourist and locals frequenting the numerous bars, cafes, and restaurants on the foreshore, and now the ISAF Sailing World Cup in the middle of this action we are taking sailing to the public. The move to St Kilda also aligns with an extension to the hosting agreement with ISAF that has secured the Event for Melbourne for a further two years after this year's Event in December.
In addition to the move we are also please to announce the Event dates of 7th - 13th December 2015 (registration starting on 7th), with the venue open for competitor arrivals and training from the 4th of December.
Over the coming weeks more exciting announcements will be made in regards to site details, sponsors, partners, transport / shipping, accommodation, Notice of Race and of course the Invited Classes Regatta held alongside the ISAF Sailing World Cup classes.
