The George Mac Regatta is being held on December 3 & 4 and early entries close this Friday, November 25.
Royal Brighton and Elwood Sailing Clubs are hosting sailors of all ages in a variety of classes representing clubs from around the bay, interstate and overseas. Dinghies, catamarans, Olympic and pathway classes will be competing across multiple courses. The RS 100, 200 and Aero, Flying Dutchman and 505 State Championships will also contribute to a fantastic weekend of racing.
The George Mac regatta will attract novices, seasoned professionals and sailors of every standard in-between. There will be children beginning their racing experience in the ‘tackers fun regatta’ on the Sunday in addition to high performance sailors sailors using the George Mac as their final preparation for the upcoming Sailing World Cup Final. The George Mac is truly an event where sailors of all ages and abilities can come together in a wide range of off-the-beach dinghies and catamarans to enjoy racing on our magnificent Port Phillip.
RBYC will extend its hospitality to all competitors, family, friends and volunteers on the Saturday night. A fantastic social night is planned for all sailors and spectators to mingle over a casual dinner. Sunday afternoon is sure to be equally social, as sailors of all ages gather for the awarding of prizes in all divisions.
